Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Joaillerie: The Gemstones Behind AP's First Jewellery Line

Audemars Piguet is taking the Royal Oak beyond the wrist with its new Royal Oak Joaillerie collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week on 2 October 2026.
The first 19 creations are divided across three lines, Dream of Joux, Risoud Eclipse and Frosted Gold, with cuffs, necklaces, chokers and earrings forming the collection. Its visual language draws from the Vallée de Joux in the Swiss Jura, where Audemars Piguet is based.
The collection draws on evocative motifs, luminous textures and material contrasts shaped by its landscape, while retaining the geometric character that has defined the Royal Oak since Gérald Genta designed it in 1972.
The gemstones give each piece its personality, so let's look at which stones went into the three ranges.
What Is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Joaillerie Collection?
Royal Oak Joaillerie is Audemars Piguet's first jewelry collection, and it's split into three ranges. Each one takes the Royal Oak Striking Geometry and gives it a different mood, tied to the Swiss valley where the brand began. Here's how they differ.
Dream of Joux
This is the color-first range, and where most of the gemstone work happens. AP looked at the different faces of the Vallée de Joux, from icy lakes to starry skies to blooming flowers, and recreated them through the way the stones are set. The result is a mix of cuffs, necklaces, and earrings with plenty of depth and rhythm, and a bold shape underneath.
Risoud Eclipse
Think of this as the moody one.Risound Eclipse draws on Vallée de Joux role in cellestial observation and reimagines the Risoud Forest, and it pictures that forest during an eclipse.
Black titanium sets the dark backdrop, while emeralds and diamonds catch the light against it. The finishes are subtle, so the green stones stand out without any fuss. For anyone who loves emeralds, this is where they get the spotlight.
Frosted Gold
Frosted Gold is about texture, not stones. It reflects how the light in the Vallée de Joux keeps shifting through the day. AP worked with jewellery designer Carolina Bucci on the finish, which borrows an old Florentine technique. The surface ends up with a soft, sparkling look, a bit like diamond dust, so each piece has a quiet shine rather than a loud sparkle.
Gemstones Used in the Royal Oak Joaillerie Collection
Gemstones do most of the talking in Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak Joaillerie collection. Diamonds appear in both pear and brilliant cuts, while sapphires range from deep blue to yellow, pink, orange, and cognac.
Spessartites add a burst of orange, tsavorites bring fresh green, and Swiss blue and London blue topaz give the Blue Moon cuff its glow. Sugarloaf-cut emeralds anchor the Risoud Eclipse necklace. Let us take a closer look at the Royal Oak Jollaire collection.
Dream of Joux Necklace

This is the one most people will remember. It's made of blue titanium and 18-carat white gold, with 44 pear-cut diamonds hanging from it. The titanium parts are fully covered in blue sapphires so that you won't see bare metal anywhere. The piece closes with the Royal Oak clasp and has adjustable links. AP says it's meant to recall frozen lakes and clear winter skies of Vallée de Joux
Dream of Joux Sunburst Cuff

Warm colour is the point here. An 18-carat yellow gold cuff carries a sunray pattern built from diamonds, yellow and orange spessartites, and yellow, pink and orange sapphires. Spessartite is an orange garnet, and it's a bolder choice than the usual diamond-and-sapphire mix. AP calls this a one-of-a-kind piece, and it fastens with the collection's octagonal clasp.

Dream of Joux Earrings

These are the necklace's matching partner. Blue titanium and 18-carat white gold again, each earring holding four pear-cut diamonds, so eight in total, with the titanium fully set with blue sapphires. AP draws the inspiration from the valley's wintry landscapes.
Dream of Joux Blue Moon Cuff

Another unique piece, this time in 18-carat white gold. The stones are brilliant-cut diamonds, deep blue sapphires, and two kinds of blue topaz, Swiss blue and London blue. The gemstones evoke the glow of a blue moon through the interplay of colour and light.

Dream of Joux Tree of Life Cuff

Some cuffs are about sparkle. This one is about a picture. A leafy tree spreads across 18-carat pink gold, with its leaves set in cognac-coloured sapphires and graded tsavorites. Against the pink gold, the warm sapphires read like autumn leaves and the greens like new growth. The cuff closes with the collection's octagonal clasp, and it's a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the Tree of Life and the forests of the Vallée de Joux.
Frosted Gold Chokers and Cuffs.

Not everything in the collection is about stones. The collection comes as cuffs and chokers, with Autumn Mist in pink gold, Spring Frost in white gold, and Summer Haze in yellow gold.
Each has a glittering finish, based on an old Florentine technique and developed with Carolina Bucci, that looks like diamond dust. Polished surfaces add soft reflections, and an octagonal clasp closes each piece. If the Dream of Joux pieces are statement jewellery, these are the ones you could actually wear every day.
Risoud Eclipse Necklace

This one belongs on any gemstone lover's radar. The necklace is black titanium set with five sugarloaf-cut emeralds. A sugarloaf cut gives the stone a smooth, domed, cone-like shape instead of flat facets, and AP says each emerald was picked for its rich colour and sculptural depth.
The links are removable so that the fit can be adjusted, and the octagonal Royal Oak clasp is there too. A one-of-a-kind version combines blackened titanium with 18-carat white gold, and brilliant-cut diamonds surround each emerald. A matching cuff completes the range.
To sum up, Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak Joaillerie collection proves that the Royal Oak bracelet can shine without a watch attached. Across Dream of Joux, Risoud Eclipse and Frosted Gold, the 19 creations lean on sapphires, spessartites, tsavorites, blue topaz and sugarloaf-cut emeralds to give a famous design a whole new personality.
Several pieces are one-of-a-kind. If you follow gemstones, this launch is worth watching, since it shows how a watch house can treat coloured stones as the main event. Whether you prefer the colour of Dream of Joux or the dark emeralds of Risoud Eclipse, there is something here for every stone lover.
